Attractions:

The species was described by botanists F. de P.A. von Waldstein and P. Kitaibel in the 2nd volume of the work "Descriptiones et icones plantarum rariorum Hungariae" from 1805 as a species of Campanula tenuifolia Waldst. et Kit. In the monograph on bluebells, the narrow-leaved bluebell is treated as part of the genus Wahlenbergia [Wahlenbergia tenuifolia (Waldst. et Ki.t) A.DC], and later this bluebell was placed in the genus Edraianthus (A. DC.) DC. [Prod. 7(2): 449 (1839)]. A number of lower taxonomic categories were described (Edraianthus tenuifolius (Waldst et Kit.) A.DC. f. pendulus Lakušić, Edraianthus tenuifolius (Waldst et Kit.) A.DC. f. semiglaber G. Beck, Edraianthus tenuifolius (Waldst et Kit. .) A.DC. f. giganteus Lakušić, etc. The closest relative of the narrow-leaved bluebell is our stenoendem Edraianthus hercegovinus K. Malý, which is the only one represented on Jelenka - Čvrsnica planina (Malý, 1906).
